About Dr Jessica Mareld
Jessica has been a psychologist for 5 years, with 13 years’ experience working in mental health, and has practiced in a variety of settings including primary health, in-patient, community, residential and private practice.
She is deeply committed to meeting people where they currently are, and guiding them through evidence-based therapeutic practices tailored to each of their own unique needs and aspirations.
Jessica enjoys offering effective, trauma-informed psychological interventions that enrich and balance the lives of her clients and communities.
In her therapeutic approach, Jessica integrates psychodynamic psychotherapy, positive psychology, and humanism as theoretical frameworks, alongside cognitive and behavioural (CBT) approaches including interpersonal, narrative, and acceptance and commitment (ACT) therapies.
Informing a biopsychosocial view of mental health, Jessica's personal interests include the intersections of psychology with human evolution, history, sociology and environments alongside all things “wellbeing”.
