Janette is an experienced Psychologist with over 10 years of experience in many different areas, including the public and private sectors, emergency services, and in her own private practice where she has worked with clients experiencing a diverse range of issues.

In another life, Janette was once a Registered Nurse for over 20 years, during which time she gained advanced certification in Intensive Care and worked in Emergency Departments throughout Melbourne. She has additionally received a qualification in Naturopathy.

​

Her various work experiences have provided Janette with the opportunity to develop a compassionate, collaborative, effective approach to therapy which emphasises the experience of the individual. Throughout all her roles, Janette has always sought to deeply understand the roots of her clients' problems and provide the best possible care to allow positive change.

​

She is passionate about many areas of psychology and employs a holistic approach that draws from different therapeutic models, including but not limited to: Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and Mindfulness-based approaches.

 

Janette enjoys blending her knowledge of psychological science with the strengths of her clients to enable them to reach their full potential and achieve a sense of balance in their lives, as well as creatively assist the individuals she works alongside in achieving their full potential, reducing needless suffering, and enhancing life satisfaction.

She is also an avid traveller, loves outdoor activities/sports, and discovering new adventures. She believes that there are many paths to happiness, but developing a life that reflects a person's true values and aspirations is an important one. And so Janette, herself, does her best to "walk the talk".
