How do I get a Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP)?

To get a Mental Health Treatment Plan, book an appointment with your GP. You can also contact us to get an MHTP through our GPs. During your consultation, they’ll assess your mental health needs and, if eligible, create a plan that gives you access to Medicare rebates for up to 10 psychology sessions per year.

Your GP will either provide you with a referral or send it directly to your chosen psychologist. Learn more about referrals here.
