How long has Jennifer been a psychologist?
Over 30 years!

What work has Jennifer done throughout her career?
She has worked in public mental health across the age spectrum, with clients including: new parents, children, adolescents, and adults. She has done psychotherapy with individuals and couples, and in family focused recovery in families where members had significant mental health challenges. She has also worked in private practice with a wide range of people, and in Employee Assistance particularly with staff working remotely and in disaster response.

What is Jennifer's therapeutic approach? 

She is warm, fun, non- judgmental, client-centered, trauma-informed and compassionate; with a sense of humour and a focus on working alongside her clients.

What therapeutic modalities does Jennifer draw from?

She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance Commitment Therapy, Family Systems, Narrative Therapy, and Schema Therapy in her work.


Why is she passionate about therapy?
Jennifer has a commitment to rural and regional mental health and wellbeing, and is passionate in ensuring that these regions have access to mental health services.

 

How does Jennifer help her clients reach their goals?
She works to help people identify their key strengths, what is serving them well, and new directions they can explore.

 

Is there anything else Jennifer would like you to know?
She has practiced yoga since she was a teenager, and she appreciates the mind-body connection.
