Psychologist

Bachelor of Science

Graduate Diploma of Psychology

Postgraduate Diploma of Psychology

Master of Psychology (Counselling Psychology)

Novi has worked with clients in a number of different settings, both public and private, for the past 5 years, including in placements for the completion of her Master’s degree.

Having worked in multi-disciplinary organisations, with a broad range of clients with complex cases, she has learned (and continues to learn) that the relationship is the utmost integral part of everything we do. This includes the relationship we have with ourselves.

It is Novi's wish that everyone she meets, whether in the therapy room or outside, will be met with her curiosity, openness, and compassion. She likes working with clients using both a collaborative and client-centered focus, to explore and adjust unhelpful narratives clients have about themselves, others, or the world.

Novi finds that she is most helpful to clients when she can help them see their patterns of thinking and behaviours, and empower them to change the unhelpful ones to create better connections with themselves and others around them. She achieves this by drawing on approaches including:

  • Acceptance Commitment Therapy

  • Attachment Style Therapy

  • Emotion Focused Therapy

  • Family Systems Therapy

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy

  • Psychodynamic Therapy

  • Schema Therapy

Novi has lived on a few different continents and faced challenges through times of transition, in encountering cross-cultural issues, and takes pride in having turned these experiences into strengths and values - making her life more meaningful. In the same way, she is passionate about helping clients to grow from and overcome whatever challenges they are experiencing, and her vast array of  skills and experiences helps others to achieve exactly that.
