Australians living in rural and regional areas are now eligible to receive Medicare rebates for 10 sessions with a psychologist using video conferencing, every year.
To be eligible for the Medicare rebates for online psychology sessions you will need a Mental Health Care Plan (which is provided by a GP) and live in a 'regional or rural' area.
To find out if you are located in an eligible area, please visit the Health Workforce Locator and follow these steps:

1. In the 'classification filter' options, click the '2019' box which is across from 'Modified Monash Model'.
2. Click 'Find Address' and enter your address.
3. If your area is numbered 4-7, you are eligible for Medicare rebates for online psychology sessions.
