Amanda is an experienced psychologist. She has provided therapy in private practice and community based settings. Prior to working as a psychologist, Amanda worked as a nurse and midwife.

Amanda has a special interest in supporting individuals who are either themselves going through cancer diagnosis and treatment, or family members who are similarly affected by cancer. She has a great deal of experience in this area brings the best of compassionate and evidence based care to individuals touched by this illness.

 

Amanda’s style of therapy is person centered and collaborative. She brings warmth, compassion, and
thoughtfulness to her relationship with clients.

 

Amanda recognises that we all face challenges in life
and at times benefit from additional support. She seeks to create a calm and respectful space for you to explore your current concerns. 

 

She will assist you to identify your own unique goals for therapy and will provide you with support, information and evidence-based strategies that will help you
move towards what is important to you.

 

She generally likes to use a bit of humour, will be curious to know about any good books or podcasts that you have come across lately, and will encourage you to never give up hope and always believe in yourself and your power and resilience to navigate your way through life.
